Christmas Day

I had to work Christmas Eve so we had a jam packed day on Christmas day, but it was a lot of fun. We did Christmas morning with Santa as usual, and my parents, sister, and her boyfriend came and we had lunch and opened presents with them. The kids had so much fun, and it was a great time to have all of us together. Christmas night we went over to Ryan's parent's house and opened presents with them, and the day after Christmas we left for Sherman, to visit Ryan's Memaw and other extended family. It was alot of fun too, but we are glad to be home now because the kids are so exhausted and us too for that matter! We are ready for some rest!

Our fire place doesn't usually look this bad because we have a screen, but we have to move the screen so that Santa can get in! :)
Also, this is the barbie tent I blogged about a few days prior to Christmas....it was a hit!

Brayden enjoyed Kyleigh's doll house more than most of his toys!

This little motorcycle is so cool.....it makes all kinds of motorcycle noises, but Brayden always turns it off!

Kyleigh has been asking for months for a trumpet....my sister wanted to get it for her so when Santa didn't bring it she was a little dissappointed, until later when we opened presents with my family. She was so excited.
We got Brayden his own guitar because last year we got Kyleigh one and lately whenever she is playing with it it is like WWIII between the two of them, but guess what, Brayden would rather play with her pink one than the one Santa brought him. Our efforts were hopeless it seems!
We had to get Brayden some "boy toys" like trucks because all we really had were girl things and neutral things.....he needed some rough stuff!

Kyleigh put on a little concert for us with Brayden's guitar. She sang all the Christmas songs she knows....it was so cute!!

Last year we started a tradition of making a birthday cake for Jesus and singing happy birthday to Him. I had to work the 2 days before Christmas and had so much to get done at the same time that I asked Ryan to make it with Kyleigh and I think it turned out great. I know they had so much fun doing it!
My sister got Kyleigh a Cabbage Patch doll. This was the 25th anniversary of them. Makes me feel old!

Our house. We usually don't get lights up when we go deep into the playoffs, which is most years, because Ryan has no free time. This year Ryan was so loving and kind and we put them up one Saturday before they left town for the play off game.
Tootsie and Pop got Brayden a Texas helmet with shoulder pads, jersey, and all. He would only wear the helmet, and of course thought he was a Buckeye.
