crazy day.........

ok, sorry, just a post and no pictures but i am just taking a quick break from cleaning house (just so that the cleaning lady can come tomorrow).....go figure....not really cleaning but just picking up and it seems like a lot of work just to have my house cleaned! Anyways, it has been a little bit of a crazy day and thought somebody might get a kick out of it, and let me begin by saying I AM THE WORST EXCUSE FOR A COACHES WIFE EVER!! But before I explain myself let me tell you.....i went to walmart this morning with both kids. I really hate doing that but sometimes i can't avoid it and i will have to say that they were really good, even brayden, who is usually the problem because he doesn't like to stay in his seat. Kyleigh is usually pretty good because she can walk and doesn't run away!

Anyways, my buggy was so full by the time we got to the vegetables and fruits, that i was having to carry all of the fruits and veggies in addition to pushing the buggy, AND I seem to forget that if your buggy is overflowing BEFORE you check out, then probably not everything is going to fit once it is in bags, especially with kids. So by the time we left we were in TWO buggies and had to have help getting to the car. O well, we made, but i am sure people were laughing at us.

So Ryan has a baseball tournament in Longview today, fr, and sat, and I had told the kids that if they were good at the store that we would go for the game this afternoon, even though it was in the middle of nap time. So, I tried to bribe my way out of it once we got home because i was so ready to just put them down for a nap and have some peace and quiet but as all of you moms know.....once you promise something, they don't seem to forget.

So we loaded up to go to the game and kyleigh wanted to take shovels and pails to play in the dirt, but of course i couldn't find any in the garage so we stopped by the dollar store and i was expecting to find some for a dollar each or so but of course it isn't quite summer time yet so all i could find was a set of sand castel building things for $8 and of course i have to buy 2 because it only contains 1 pail and 1 shovel and i didn't want to listen to them argue. So i bought $16 worth of sand castle stuff just to go to a baseball game and dig in the dirt......maybe they will still be in one piece when we go to the beach this summer....we'll see.

By now, we are running late.....no big deal, baseball games last FOREVER! and it can be a little tortuous with 2 little ones. However, in addition to being late I have a little trouble finding the field....you would think after 6 years i would know how to find pinetree in longview, but that is another story. So we get to the game FINALLY and it is only the 2nd inning.....wwhheeewww....just right. of course the dirt is on the other teams side so we camp out over there and they play in the dirt for a little while and i watch a little bit of the game between tending to them.....it really is pointless for me to go these things, but i still do it.

Well, kyleigh decides that she wants a pistacio that i am eating and and i look on the bag and it says, ALLERGEN WARNING : PISTACIOS...... i should have followed my gut instinct not to give it to her because i knew that her epi pen was in the car but i did because she has never had a reaction to anything but peanuts.......well she immediately started to throw up.......so we headed to the car to get her epi pen just in case it started to affect her air way......which the trip to the car took like 20 minutes because brayden is so poky.....so by this time i have only been at the game for like 45 minutes, barely even watching it, all i really remember is one of our kids strking out.........then when we get back to the field, we move our seats over to our side and before i can even sit down i hear, "Well, that's a ball game, folks." I was like WHAT? it is over? i turn and look at the score bored and see that we only played 5 innings and i look at the score and say to myself....."O, we ten runned them, that's cool, too bad i didn't see any of the game!"

So we head over to where the team is meeting and WAIT AND WAIT AND WAIT. AFter about 20 minutes or so i realize......this is an awfully long post game speech for having ten runned somebody........then i realize, we had LOST, there was an 8 run rule for the game and the other team 8 runned us..............CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? Hence the statement, that i am the worst excuse for a coaches wife...........i don't even know when we lose or win......it does explain how little i actually saw of the game and i guess i thot we were visitors, but it was a tournament so they obviously change up home and visitors.

But seriously, I really feel bad for Ryan, but he did choose to marry me! when i met him 10+ years ago, i didn't know much about baseball or football......just soccer, and i think i have forgotten most of that by now......and to be honest with you i stil don't know much about football and a little more about baseball, but that is it. i have always blamed it on the fact that football is completely different (way bigger) in texas than louisiana but that is just my excuse. it wasn't until we were headed to a playoff game in dallas last year that i finally let ryan explain a little bit of the game of football to me. silly i know, but i just wasn't ready to learn.

Oh well, that's it in a nut shell......or should i say pistacio shell..............sorry if i bored you!:)

Valentine Banquet

This year was our 3rd annual Valentines Banquet at church and it so fun and absolutely hilarious!

Randi and Keith

Chrisy and Jason

Ty and Kamilla

Can anyone tell how much weight Ryan has lost??? we have been doing P90X...well, him more than me, but I have been working out on my days off which is more than I was doing!

It is so awesome to get to spend these fun times with some of our best college friends. Randi and Chrisy's dad is our Associate Pastor so they came in town for the banquet and Ty is our youth minister. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of Todd and Adrian......Adrian and Todd pretty much organize the whole thing so they don't have much time to sit still during it.

Royal Tea Party

Kyleigh's friend Campbell had her 4th birthday today and her party was a Royal Tea Party. The little girls and boys were so precious in their royal attire and Tana is SSSSOOO creative and all the decorations were so cute! By the time we made it to the party I was so frustrated with Kyleigh and all her whining all morning long......but as you might can tell, she looks pitiful in the pictures. My friends and I watched her at the party and she just sat in her seat at the table and watched everything. She said she felt fine but we could tell otherwise and then she started to feel pretty warm so we ended up leaving early, and went home with 103 fever. She is asleep now, poor thing.......I have felt horrible for being so fed up with the way she was acting because evidently there was a reason!
