Pate family reunion

Sorry that I haven't been a very good blogger lately.....seems like life has been so BUSY!! We are SO excited that summer is here. This is Ryan's last week of school. We love summers because it is really the only time during the year that we get to do things as a family. The only thing I don't like about summers is that they go by way too fast! Ryan really only has about 6 weeks off because they start football the last week in July so we usually have lots of things squeezed into those few weeks. Next week Ryan and I are going to New Braunfels for our annual Coaches Outreach retreat we attend every year. We are so excited for some time away to ourselves, then at the end of June we are taking a family mission trip with our church to Creede, Colorado....we are SO excited but a little apprehensive about driving that far with a 2 yr old and 4 yr old! Then in July we will be taking our first official family vacation to Gulf Shores. We are going with our best friends from college and their kids.....we can't wait! Hope you all are looking forward to summer as much as we are!

Memorial weekend, the Pates had a family reunion which was SO fun. The retreat center we stayed at was brand new and SO nice. I think we may have even been the first ones to stay in the rooms! We enjoyed cooking out, swimming, fishing, playing games, and just relaxing. This was the first family reunion and seems it might turn out to be an annual thing it was so much fun! Only thing we decided that needed to be different is more time! It was only one night and we wanted to stay longer!

Kyleigh and Uncle Billy

Uncle Joe Tom or as Brayden would say "Unca Dow Tom"

Brayden kept walking around with Ryan's Paw Paw's cane and hat and he was even limping around for a little while.....it was SO cute!

Brayden and Pop..... the night before we left Ryan went and got Brayden a "Pider man" fishing rod and reel......of course after we got back in town Pop went to Academy and got Brayden AND Kyleigh "real" fishing rods.....guess he thinks since he has retired from coaching this year that he will be taking the little rug rats fishing alot or something! :)

Notice the "bed head" on Brayden.....the kids were ready to go fishing the second they woke up Sunday morning!

Even a barbie fishing rod can catch a fish!

Pop and Kyleigh

The whole Pate clan!

Oh your kids are the cutest! I can only hope that Harper's pigtails will be as high & adorable as Kyleigh's. I just love them!
